The Monster Manuscript, subtitled An Adventurer's Guide to Fantastic Creatures, contains page after page of D&D-style monster write-ups. Originally a free item, the Manuscript stats out a variety of creatures that appeared in Grenadier Models Dragon Lords Monster Manuscript miniatures line that appeared in 1986 & 1987.
The last couple of pages include painting tips for the various creatures that appear in the book, as well as a write-up for an entire undead legion.
This module-sized booklet was given out with Grenadier set #1501 (which contained a mix of fantasy monsters).

In some of the grenadier mini's was a small sheet of paper labeled "MINI-CREATURE COLLECTION" For free gaming stats and a painting guide send a S.A.S.E. or 25¢ to: GRENADIER MODELS Box 305 Springfield, PA 19064. This was included in 502 Marsh Dragon and probably others, but is not one of the monsters in the Monster Manuscript. Has anyone ever seen this MINI-CREATURE COLLECTION?
