The two modules in this series are ones that are based on actual R.E. Howard stories set in the Conan milieu. I wish I could say that I played them but I never did. I honestly dismissed them a little bit because playing Conan is sort of like playing Superman in a DC game, Kirk in Star Trek or James Bond. It is not set up so that you could really fail and then comes the factor of deciding who plays the hero and who are the sidekicks. The cover alone was the reason that I bough this. The original Conan movie staring Arnold was a movie that exemplified gaming to me. I am not saying it was a good adaptation of the stories but that is the way gaming worked in our group.
From the back of the module:
"Taking an iron grip on his nerves, he strode confidently into the dark portal, naked steel in hand, and vanished within"
Thosth-Amon, the greatest living sorcerer of the Hyborian Age, threatens the peace of Aquilonia. His tragic mistake is that he threatens Conan also, for Conan is now King of this mighty land.
Conan and his companions, Pelias, Prospero, and Nzinga journey across the plains of Shem and Stygia to test their will and power against this wicked sorcerer. Battle with them to conquer the evil forces that endanger their land.
"Go to the sign of Marvel's Axe, a dubious inn on the edge of the Thieves Quarter, in the City of Greyhawk, and look to your own wrist. If you perceive a bracelet and dangling dice, watch for the next throw in the war between Law and Chaos and be prepared to follow the compelling geas." -Signal
